General Rule
Raw denim should be washed as little as possible to maintain indigo dye and develop authentic wear patterns.

Washing (When Necessary – Typically After 3–6 Months of Wear)
Preferred Method: Cold Soak
1. Fill a clean bathtub or basin with cold or lukewarm water.
2. Add a small amount of mild, dye-free detergent (or denim-specific soap).
3. Turn jeans inside out and submerge fully.
4. Let soak 15–30 minutes with minimal agitation.
5. Gently rinse with cold water.
6. Do not wring, twist, or scrub.
Avoid Machine Washing
• Only use machine wash as a last resort.
• If necessary: turn jeans inside out, wash on cold, delicate cycle, no spin, in a garment bag.

Drying
• Gently press out excess water with hands.
• Hang jeans from the waistband to air dry naturally.
• Avoid direct sunlight or heat, which can cause uneven fading and shrinkage.
• Never tumble dry.

Maintaining Shape & Color
• Spot clean small stains with a damp cloth instead of full washing.
• Avoid frequent washing to promote natural fading (“whiskers” and “honeycombs”).
• If jeans start to smell, hang them outside in fresh air, or in a steamy bathroom to refresh.
