Washing
Dry clean is strongly recommended – felt is naturally prone to shrinking, matting, and losing shape when exposed to water and agitation.
If hand-washing is absolutely necessary (for synthetic felt only):
• Use cold water only
• Add a very mild wool or delicate fabric detergent
• Gently submerge the garment; do not rub, wring, or twist
• Soak for 3–5 minutes, then rinse with cold water
Do not machine wash or tumble dry
Agitation and heat cause permanent shrinkage and surface distortion.

Drying
• Lay flat on a clean, dry towel
• Gently reshape the coat while damp
• Allow to air dry naturally away from sunlight or direct heat
• Never hang to dry while wet—weight may cause stretching and warping

Maintenance & Pilling Prevention
• Use a lint brush or clothing roller to remove surface fibers and lint
• For light pilling, use a fabric shaver or wool comb carefully in one direction
• Avoid friction from backpacks, seat belts, or rough fabrics
Storage
• Always store on a wide, padded hanger to maintain shoulder shape
• Keep in a breathable garment bag (avoid plastic)
• Store in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture damage or mildew
